Rona Ambrose

The Honourable Rona Ambrose is the MP for Edmonton – Spruce Grove, Alberta.  A member of the Conservative party, this will be her third term in parliament.

She currently serves as the Minister of Labour.  She is currently not sitting on any committee’s; however in the past she has been a member of the Bill C-38 committee, Finance Committee, and the committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

She is married to husband Bruce Ambrose and lives in Edmonton.  She is fluent in Portuguese & French, and has a long history of volunteering with the Edmonton Women’s Shelter.

Let’s pray that God would continue to use her as a leader and advocate  for woman’s rights in parliament.  Let’s also pray that God would give her wisdom as the Minister of Labor during a time of unpredictable economic conditions.  Also keep in prayer her husband and pray that God would continue to strengthen and bless their marriage.

Dean Allison

Dean Allison is the MP for Niagara West – Glanbrook, Ontario.  He is a Conservative member and this is his third term in Parliament.

He is currently the Chair of the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (HUMA); Liason Committee; and the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets.  He is also a member of the International Trade committee.

Please pray that he would have wisdom in his important committee positions and that God would bless his personal life.   Let’s pray that he would continue to stand for truth, while at the same time being the voice of his riding.  And pray that, in the face of adversity, he would be strengthened to stand firm.

Mike Allen

Mike Allen is the MP for the  Tobique—Mactaquac riding in New Brunswick.  He is a Conservative member, and is in his second term in Parliament.

He currently serves as a member of the Fisheries and Oceans committee and the Natural Resources committee.

He holds a Bachelor of Buisness Administration and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.  Before entering politics he worked as a consultant with various New Brunswick companies.

He currently lives in New Brunswick with his wife Jennifer.

In praying for Mike Allen, let’s pray that his relationship to his wife would be blessed and that his travel to and from New Brunswick would be kept safe.  Also, let’s pray that he would continue to represent not only his own riding, but also Atlantic Canada and that he would be a voice for them in Ottawa.

Harold Albrecht

Harlod Albretch

Harold Albrecht is the M.P. for Kitchener—Conestoga in Ontario.  He is a member of the Conservative Pary and this is his second term in Parliament.

Harold serves as the Deputy Government Whip, he also is the chair for the Subcommittee on Private Members’ Business of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs and is a member of the  Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Committee.

Harold has been married to Betty for almost 38 years, and have 3 married children and 8 grandchildren.

As we pray for Harold, let us remember good health and strength for him and his family as he serves this term and as he represents his constituency within the Kitchener—Conestoga area. With the responsibility of Deputy Government Whip, pray that great wisdom and understanding would be upon him, and that the passion to serve and make a difference for this country would be strong upon his heart.  As a well-known committed Christian he has the opportunity to be a strong light to others as he walks in the Spirit of Christ.

Malcolm Allen

Malcolm Allen is an M.P. for Welland in Ontario.  He is a member of the NDP and this is his first term.

Malcolm is a Associate Member of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Fisheries and Oceans, Health,  Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities, International Trade, and Public Accounts.

 Malcolm Allen is married to Peggy Allen and they have three children.

As we pray for Malcolm today let us thank God for the position he has given him to be able to be the voice for the people in his constituency. Let us pray that as he serves diligently in Parliament, physical well being and rest would fall upon him in times of need and that God would give wisdom in the areas of his family, friends, and colleagues.

Leona Aglukkaq

Leona Aglukkaq

The Honourable Leona Aglukkaq is the new M.P. for Nunavut.  Leona serves as the Minister of Health and is the first Inuk in Canadian history to be appointed to the Cabinet of Canada.

Mrs. Aglukkaq resides in Gjoa Haven and Iqaluit, Nunavut, with her husband Robert and their son.

As we pray for Leona, pray that wisdom and strength would be upon her as she represents Nunavut, the North and every need of her constituency. Also pray for mental and physical rest, as she has many miles to travel. That the Lord would bless her and her family in every area, and that she would make great connections with her parliamentary colleagues.


Willie Adams

Senator Willie Adams was born 74 years ago in Fort Chimo, in northern Quebec.  He is a member of the Liberal Party and has served in the Senate since April of 1977. (almost 32 years). 

Senator Adams represents Nunavut and is a member of  the Senate Committee for Fisheries and Oceans and as well, the Committee for Transport and Communications.

Senator Willie Adams is married and has 10 children, one of whom is deceased.  Presumably he has many grandchildren!

Pray for the health of both he and his wife, and for strength to finish well in his last years as a member of the Senate.  Let’s ask the Lord to continue to use him to bring an understanding of northern issues to that chamber and to bring prosperity to the Arctic Regions.  May he represent the peoples of the North wisely.
