Noël A. Kinsella

The Hon. Noel A Kinsella is the 46th Speaker of the Senate of Canada, a position he was appointed to by P.M. Stephen Harper in 2006.  Dr. Kinsella was originally  appointed to the Senate to represent New Brunswick back in 1990 and sits as a member of the Conservative caucus.

Dr. Kinsella spent 41 years as a faculty member at St. Thomas University, Fredericton, N.B. where he has taught psychology, philosophy and human rights.  He was also the the Chairperson of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission for 22 years, beginning in 1967, as President of the Canadian Human Rights Foundation, and is well-known nationally and internationally as a human rights advocate.

Dr. Kinsella along with his large responsibilties as Speaker of the Senate also sits on the Committee for Internal Economy, Budgets and Procedures.

He is married to Ann Conley Kinsella.

Let us pray for Noel Kinsella that he might have wisdom from above to perform his very important work on Parliament Hill.  May the Lord use him to reform our Human Rights tribunal system and be a great resource to other nations.
