Chris Alexander

Mr. Alexander is a newly elected member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Ajax-Pickering, Ontario. He was born in Toronto Ontario, he and his wife Hedvig have two young daughters and reside in Ajax-Pickering..

Prior to entering politics Mr. Alexander served  18 years as a member of the Canadian Foreign Services. His first posting was at the Canadian Embassy in Russia, and by 2003, he became Canada’s first resident Ambassador in Kabul, Afghanistan. Between 2005 and 2009, he served as a Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan.

He is currently the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence. In addition he serves as a member on a number of other parliamentary committees.

Pray that he spend meaningful time with his family, which brings stability at home and at work.

Diane Ablonczy

Minister Ablonczy is a member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Calgary – Nose Hill, Alberta since 1997. Prior to entering politics Ms. Ablonczy taught school and then practiced law. She and her husband reside in Calgary they have five children and five grandchildren.

In addition to her role as Minister, she is also a member of the Cabinet Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, and sits as a member of the Treasury Board.

Please pray that there would be a culture of co-operation and honour within all parties.

Terence Young

Mr. Young is a member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Oakville since 2008. He was born in Toronto, his first job was for Oakville’s largest employer, Ford Canada. He represented Oakville as Member of Provincial Parliament for four years, serving as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Education and the Minister of Finance, and later worked for Bell Canada.

He and his wife Gloria reside in Oakville  and together they have two adult children. Mr. Young currently sits on the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs.

Please pray that the motives behind any decision would not feed selfish ambition, but will be for the good of the whole nation.

Lynne Yelich

Minister Yelich is a member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Backstrap, Saskatchewan since 2004, she is the Minister of State for (Western Economic Diversification).

Minister Yelich comes from an administrative background, she is married to Matt, together they have two daughters. Elaina, married to Bryan, is a teacher in Saskatoon, and Ivana attends university.  They are also the proud grandparents of grandson Jaxson born during the 2011 election campaign.

Please pray that there would be a culture of co-operation and honour within all parties.

Stephen Woodworth

Mr. Woodworth is a member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Kitchener Centre, Ontario since 2008. He was educated at Wilfrid Laurier University where he received his degree in law.  Prior to being elected he practiced law in Kitchener for almost 30 years. He and his wife Sharon have three children.

He is a member of the Justice and Environment committee, as well as a member of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee and Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development. Mr. Woodworth is also an associate member of various other parliamentary committees.

Please pray that he would be known for his humility which invites God’s great grace and protects them from pride.

Alice Wong

Minister Wong is a member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Richmond, British Columbia since 2008. She is the Minister of State for Seniors.

Minister Wong is an educator, entrepreneur and active community leader who immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1980. Before being elected to Parliament, she taught English as a Second Language and Entrepreneurship at Vancouver Community College.  She also worked  assisting her husband with his family business. She continued her studies at the University of British Columbia and obtained her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in 1993. She joined Kwantlen University College (now Kwantlen Polytechnic University) in 1998 and became the Manager of International Programs until 2006. She and her husband, Enoch, have been happily married for over 30 years.

John Williamson

Mr. Williamson is a newly elected member to the Conservative party, serving the constituency of New Brunswick Southwest.

He was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Prior to entering politics he was employed as an editorial writer, newspaper columnist, communications director, taxpayer advocate. He received his education from the London School of Economics, receiving his  MSc.degree as well as a B.A. from McGill University.

Please pray that he would receive wise and Godly counselors to help him reach his full potential.
