Patrick Brazeau

Senator Brazeau is a representative of the Conservative party, serving the designation of Repentigny, Quebec. Senator Brazeau served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Naval Reserve/HMCS Carleton) and  has a 2nd degree black belt in Karate. He holds a diploma in Social  Sciences from Heritage College and has also studied Civil Law at the University  of Ottawa.

He is the fifteenth Aboriginal Senator named to the Senate since  Confederation. He also holds the distinction of being the third youngest person  ever named to the Upper Chamber of Parliament. He is  The Chair of the Human Rights Senate  Committee and is also a member of the Aboriginal Peoples  Committee.

Please pray that he would foster a culture of co-operation and hour within all parties.


David Braley

Senator Braley is a representative of the Conservative party, serving the designation of Ontario. He was born in Montreal and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, where he also attended McMaster University.

He is currently the President and owner of Orlick Industries Limited, and is also  the current owner of two Canadian Football League teams: the Toronto Argonauts and the B.C. Lions, He and his wife Nancy Gordon reside in Burlington.

Senator Braley  is the Deputy Chair of the Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament  Senate Committee, as well as a member of the Scrutiny of Regulations (Joint)  Committee.


Charmain Borg

Ms. Borg is a newly elected member of the NDP party, serving the constituency of  Terrebonne-Blainville, Quebec. She was born in Oakville, Ontario . Prior to entering politics she was employed as a community activist, labour relations officer, student and volunteer worker.

She is a member of the Access to Information and Privacy and Ethics Committee  and an associate member of the Finance Committee. Please pray, that she would receive wise and Godly counselors, to help her in reaching her full potential.


Pierre Hughes-Boisvenu

Senator Hughes-Boisvenue worked in the Quebec government as a senior official and a deputy minister. Senator Hughes-Boisvenue is married to Diane Carlos and they have three children. As a result of a family tragedy, he became committed to ensuring recognition of the rights of families, of which a member has been murdered or has disappeared, so that the criminal justice system recognizes that they have the same rights as do criminals.

In November 2005, he received the “Prix Justice” from the Quebec government. This award highlights significant achievement by a citizen who has made an exceptional contribution to promoting the value of justice in Quebec society. He has also several other distinguished awards to his credit.

Please pray that he live a lifestyle that promotes good health and endurance.



Maxine Bernier

Mr. Bernier is a member of the Conservative party, serving the constituency of Beauce, Quebec since 2006. Mr. Bernier was born in St-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal, then began to study law at the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990. Prior to entering politics he had an extensive career in financial and banking institutions.  He has  two young daughters, Charlotte and Megan.

He is currently minister of State for Small Business and Tourism. Please pray that he pursue meaningful time with his family. which brings stability at home and at work.


George Baker

Senator Baker is a representative of the Liberal party, serving the designation of Newfoundland and Labrador. He is a former MP for the riding of Gander – Grand Falls, Newfoundland and has four children. Senator Baker studied political science and economics at Memorial University of Newfoundland and at the University of New Brunswick. He was formerly Chief Clerk of the Newfoundland House of Assembly, serving concurrently, from 1967 to 1968, as Secretary of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. George Baker also worked as a contract producer for CBC, for music drama and arts in Newfoundland.

He currently serves on the  Committee of  Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources Committee  and the Committee of Legal and Constitutional Affairs.

Please pray that the motives behind any decision, would not feed selfish ambition, but will be for the good of the whole nation.



Salma Ataullahjan

Senator Ataullahjan is a member of the Conservative party, serving the designation of Toronto. immigrated to Canada from Pakistan 31 years ago, becoming a  Canadian citizen in 1989.  After settling in Toronto, she pursued a career in  real estate, a profession in which she has worked for the last 21 years. Senator Ataullahjan is an  accomplished artist and paints watercolours in her spare  time.  She and her husband Saleem have been married for 31 years and have two  daughters.

Senator Ataullahjan has served many organizations  including: on the executive of the Pakistani Canadian Professionals and  Academics; as Founder and Chairperson of the Parent Council of David Lewis  Public School; as a member of the South Asian Regional Council; as a former  President and current Vice-President of the Canadian Pashtun Cultural  Association; and on the executive of the Toronto chapter of the Citizens  Foundation, a charity organization that builds not-for-profit schools in the  poorest districts of Pakistan.

Please pray that she pursue meaningful time with her family, which brings stability at home and at work.
