Jean-Francois Lacrose

Mr. Lacrose, is a newly elected member of the NDP party, serving the constituency of Repentigny, Quebec, where he was also born. Prior to entering the political field, he was employed as a correctional services officer and security officer. He also worked to protect wildlife parks, and as a volunteer instructor in crisis management for the firefighting service. Mr. Lacrose is a father of one.

He is a member of a number of governmental committees, such as the Foreign Affairs and International Development Committee, Government Operations and estimates Committee, National Defence Committee and the Scrutiny of Regulations committee. He also serves as an associate member on a number of other committees.

Please  pray that he would receive wise and Godly counselors to help him in reaching his full potential.

Daniel Lang

Senator Lang is a representative of the Conservative party, serving the designation of the Yukon. Senator Lang has made the Yukon his home for more than 50 years. He was born in Dawson Creek, BC, and moved with his family to Whitehorse where he completed high school, and later attended the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.

He was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in 1974, retiring from the legislature in 1992. Over the course of his 18 years in elected office he was responsible for numerous Ministerial portfolios and later served in the opposition. Since 1992, Senator Lang has worked as a Sales Associate in the Yukon Real Estate industry. Active in community affairs, he is the former Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors for Yukon College.  He was appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in 2009. Senator Lang has four children and three grandchildren, who reside in Whitehorse. He presently lives in Whitehorse with his wife Valerie Hodgson, a local artist.

He currently serves on the Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources committee and the National Security and Defence committee. Please pray that he would be encouraged to live a lifestyle that promotes good  health and endurance.

Noel Kinsella

Senator Kinsella is a representative of the Conservative party, serving the designation of Fredericton-York-Sunbury.He was born in Saint John, N.B.and is married to Ann Conley Kinsella.  Senator Kinsella was appointed Speaker of the Senate of Canada on February 8, 2006 by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. His studies have taken him to several European universities including: University College, Dublin, Ireland (B.A.); St. Thomas Aquinas University, Rome, Italy (L.Ph., and Ph.D.), Pontifical Lateran University, Rome, Italy (S.T.L., S.T.D.). He is a licensed member of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick. .

It is the Speaker’s function, according to Senate Rules, to preserve order and decorum and to decide points of order subject to an appeal to the Senate. He is also called upon to perform diplomatic duties at home and abroad consistent with the Speaker of the Senate’s fourth overall position in the Canadian Order of Precedence. Receiving visiting dignitaries and hosting official diplomatic events are all part of the Senate Speaker’s day. Additional responsibilities come with each visit to Canada by a head of state, and with invitations from abroad. Senator Kinsella also has an impressive background in the field of Human Rights.

Colin Kenny

Senator Kenny is a representative of the Liberal party, serving the designation of Rideau. he was born in Montreal, Quebec and appointed to the Senate by the Right Honourable Pierre Trudeau, he was in the Prime Minister’s Office as Special Assistant, Director of Operations, Policy Advisor and Assistant Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.

He graduated from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Business. In 1967, he received a public service fellowship from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire while attending the Tuck School of Business. Senator Kenny has a long and distinguished career of public service. In the early 1980s, he served as an executive with Dome Petroleum in Calgary, Alberta.

Jim Karygiannis

Mr. Karygiannis is a member of the Liberal party, serving the constituency of  Scarborough-Agincourt, Ontario, since 1997. He was born in Athens, Greece, immigrated and became a graduate  of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering.  He also holds a Fellowship of Business Administration from the Canadian School of Management.  Prior to his political career, he worked in the family business.  He and his wife have five daughters.

He currently serves as member and VIce Chair of the Veterans Affairs committee. In addition, he also serves as an associate member of the liason committee. Please pray that he would be encouraged to live a lifestyle that promotes good health and endurance.

Serge Royal

Senator Royal is a representative of the Liberal party, representing the are of Kennebec, which covers in part the great region of
the Bois-Francs in the province of Quebec
. He holds a Master’s degree in Administrative Law, from the University of Sheffield (England). He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, from Strasbourg France. Mr. Royal has a long and distinguished career, as a lawyer, published author and politician. He is known for his extensive work within the French culture and French language.


He has received several awards for his achievements, including the Officer in the National Order of Quebec, as well as the order of Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honour. Senator Royal serves on a number of Senate committees, including the committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs. . Janis Johnson

Senator Johnson, is a representative of the Conservative party, serving the designation of  Manitoba. She holds a B.A. in political science, from the University of Manitoba. She has one child Stefan and holds special interests in the Arts (theatre, films, literature); Recreation and Sport (jogging, flyfishing, golf); Environment. She was appointed to the senate by former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.

Currently Senator Johnson serves on the following senate committees: Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources, Foreign Affairs and International Trade.  Please pray that she continue to live a lifestyle that promotes good health and endurance.
