Carolyn Stewart Olsen

Ms. Carolyn Stewart Olsen was appointed to the Senate in August of 2009 by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.  She represents New Brunswick in the Senate and sits as a member of the Conservative Caucus.

Ms. Stewart Olsen spent many years in the health care field, first as an emergency room nurse, then a Head Nurse and then as the Nursing Manager at Carleton Place Hospital in Ottawa.  She then was a Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister in the area of Communications.

She sits on three Senate Committees, Aboriginal Peoples, Selection Committee and Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration.

Ms. Stewart Olsen is married to Terry Olsen.

Let’s pray for Senator Stewart Olsen as she continues to adapt to her new role in Ottawa and learn how to make a strong and lasting impact on our nation.  May the Lord give her wisdom and great new friendships in the Upper Chamber.  Pray that she will enjoy good health, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
