Hon. Dan McTeague

November 20, 2009

The Hon. Dan McTeague is the Liberal Member of Parliament for the riding of Pickering-Scarborough East located in Southern Ontario.  He was first elected into office in 1997 and has won 4 consecutive elections since that time. He currently sits on the Committee for Government Operations and Estimates.         Mr. McTeague’s first job on Parliament Hill was working as an intern for a cabinet minister back in 1982 and he has continued to work his way up with his many years of experience, knowledge and reputation as a hard worker.  He secured the Liberal nomination for his riding, won the election and has not looked back.   Mr. McTeague was voted”the hardest working M.P.” by the Hill Times in 2002.  He has also received awards by the Small Business Federation, and a certificate of appreciation by the Royal Canadian Legion for his efforts on behalf of our Veterans. Mr. McTeague is married and has five children.

Let us be thankful for this hard-working M.P. who displays a wonderful and admirable work ethic that is recognized by his peers.  Pray that he also will find time for rest and recreation which can be so challenging when you have a busy and important job.
